A Love Letter to óm

This April, óm turns two.
And while birthdays usually come with cake, candles and a little celebration, I have to admit that the idea of buying a cake and sticking two candles in it doesn’t quite feel like the right way to mark this moment.

Because when I think about óm and what these last two years have really been about, I don’t think about the business itself.
I think about the women.
The women who walk through the door carrying the weight of work, family, grief, change, exhaustion, and the endless responsibilities that modern life seems to place on their shoulders.
Over the past two years, om has quietly become more than just a place for treatments. It has become a place where women come to soften. A place where nervous systems settle, shoulders drop, and the body remembers how to rest.
There is something deeply moving about being trusted with that.
So many moments in the last 24 months have reminded me again and again that what women often need isn’t more pressure to improve themselves, but simply the space to be held exactly as they are.
So this April, instead of celebrating with cake and candles, I wanted to mark óm’s second birthday in a way that feels more true to the spirit of this work.
So keep an eye on your texts, emails, the blog and of course Instagram, because over the coming weeks I’ll be sharing a few small ways of saying thank you for all the support you’ve given óm over the last 24 months.
After all, this little space only exists because women like you chose to walk through the door. ✨
Love Alaine
